1. Feedback in. Overall, how would you rate the quality of the comments and feedback you are receiving from other students in the class? What kinds of comments are you finding to be the most useful?
I think that the quality of comments is pretty good overall. There's a good mix of praise and constructive feedback in them. The comments that are most helpful are the ones that tell me to change things about my formatting or when I need to explain the situations more.
2. Feedback out. Similarly, how would you rate the quality of the comments and feedback you are leaving for other students? Have you found some good strategies that help you give detailed feedback? Are you getting some good ideas for your own writing as you analyze other people's writing?
I think I'm leaving pretty good comments on the posts I read. I like the I wonder strategy for giving feedback. I think that everyone has such different writing styles it's hard for me to give a broad feedback type, I need to start asking more overall questions instead.
3. Blog comments. Do you have a sense of getting to know people by connecting with them at their blogs? Are you happy with how your Introduction post and how your blog in general provides a space where people can get to know you?
I do like the option where we read introduction posts about our classmates to meet them virtually. I am pretty happy with my introduction post, but I think I focused a bit too much on school me and not out of school me.
4. Looking forward. What do you want/need to do differently to make the feedback assignments more useful for others and/or more useful for you? Do you want to make any changes to your Comment Wall and/or your Introduction?
I think that I need to compile a list while going through the assignments to remember things to give feedback. I don't think I'll make changes to my comment wall or the introduction.
5. Image. Take a look through the "Feedback Cats" and "Feedback Infographics" to find one that expresses what you think is a really important aspect of the feedback process, and explain why you chose that image in particular.
I think that this is an important aspect of the feedback process. Starting is the hardest part and making sure that everything is perfect can be stressful. Letting yourself do the best you can and knowing that you can change it later on if needed.
