Looking Back:
Overall, how well are the reading and writing assignments working for you?
Overall, how well are the reading and writing assignments working for you?
I think that the assignments are going well! I've been learning so much about new cultures and the stories. I really like the layout of the class and reading new stories.
Are you happy with your blog? With your project website?
I decided to change my blog up with the layout and the different tools. I like the new layout much more because of how much cleaner it looks. Before it seemed pretty crowded with all of the text from the posts. I'm pretty happy with my website for the project; so I didn't make any changes there.
Are you satisfied with how the writing is going for your project? How about your story posts?
I think that I need to break the different parts up to help the reader follow. For some of the story posts I've gotten that as a common feedback tip. Also explaining the story from scratch because some readers will have no understanding of the story coming in.
What do you consider to be your biggest accomplishment(s) in your writing for this class?
I think just exploring my creativity with story telling. I'm not much of a creative writer, but this class is helping me grow that skill a lot! Also learning how to take criticism has been a big thing. I'm learning to have fun and it's only to help me improve and not something against me.
What has been your favorite reading so far?
This is really hard for me to choose only one, so I'll pick my favorite section instead. I think that the Aesop for Children readings. They were small and quick to read but had important lessons attached to each.
Are your reading notes helping you each week with your story post? (Remember, the goal is to "read like a writer" and take notes that will directly lead to your own stories; you might re-read these assignment instructions if you are not happy with your reading notes.)
They are helping me immensely with my writing. Now that we've done so many readings, it's hard for me to remember what stories go with what information. Going through the reading notes and picking out things from it to help me write new stories. I have some trouble remembering how long the posts have to be; but I go back to the original post to make sure I'm writing as much as I need to.

My favorite image so far is this one
It's silly but I think it has an important message. I appreciate that this class allows me to create images like this to make doing assignments fun!

Looking forward:
I need to start taking advantage of the extra reading opportunities for each week. I enjoy reading new stories; and I want to get as much out of this class as I can. I think it'll also help me with my storyboard project and having new stories to pick from.
